OVERVIEW
Carter-Lambert Divisions is actively seeking Cybersecurity Incident Response (CIR) Shift Lead Analysts to join our Department of Veteran Affairs team in support of the Office Information Security (OIS) Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC)
Multiple work locations available, including - Hines, IL; Martinsburg, WV; Washington, DC
1st , 2nd, & 3rd Shifts Available
Job Duties
• Serve as a shift lead and contractor shift POC for VA government personnel, will be responsible for the oversight of all work completion requirements to a set standard as well as provide direction and work assignments to contractor shift personnel
• Provide technical support for Plan of Action and Milestone process and remediation activities
• Proven analytic and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to analyze log files, packets and other security tool records for a diverse variety of systems
• Support the monitoring of cloud applications, the investigation of cybersecurity incidents, and other incidents as necessary
• Resolve highly complex problems using technical knowledge
• Generate reports for both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders
• Liaise with stakeholders in relation to cybersecurity issues and provide future recommendations
• Provide technical support for Azure and Microsoft 365 endpoint
• Provide 24x7x365 incident response support based on pre-defined response criteria
· Report security incidents to US-CERT/CISA as well as OIG
· Potential travel limited to about 5%, if needed
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
• Security+ or CEH (desired, NOT required)
• 5+ years in a SOC environment, with 3+ years in an incident response role
• Splunk or SIEM experience (in lieu of Splunk, this may be Carbon Black, ArcSight, QRadar, or other SIEM solutions)
• Microsoft Defender experience
• PowerShell
• Remedy ticketing system experience
• Service Now ticketing experience

• Strong time management skills with attention to detail
• Strong critical thinking skills
